Day one the trip begins

So I decided to start a travel journal of our great adventure. Ginger and I are off to Germany today then then directly onto a train for two weeks in Italy before retuning to Cologne for the photo trade show Photokina. If I have all the technology figured out (a big if) you will find here images, videos, sounds and rambling as this adventure unfolds. For those that know us yes this means we have abandoned our children, leaving them free rein of the house in our absence. Ok so not not total freedom they will have very good support from Aunt Mary and my parents as Ginger and I live out twenty year delayed honeymoon.
